Pastor Gretchen believes that God loves everyone and calls us to share that love with our neighbors and the world. A native Minnesotan, graduate of Vassar College in upstate New York and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley California, Pastor Gretchen knows that God walks with us wherever we go and continues to knit us together through faith. She is excited about collaboration in community, authenticity in relationships, and exploring co-creating with God. A mom to four kiddos and a precocious pup, Gretchen also loves reading, watching cooking competitions shows, being by the lake, and going on long road trips. Her wife, Jill, is also a Lutheran pastor at St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Pastor Gretchen is also passionate about coffee- looking to learn more about House of Hope or your faith? Let's grab a cup together!

In his last church position he was organist, director of choirs and handbells and will be assuming those responsibilities with us as well. He was in that congregation for almost twenty years. He was also a teacher in the public school system in Moline during that tenure. George received his Bachelor of Music Education from Augustana College, Rock Island, with and emphasis in keyboard performance and church music.
