House of Hope Community Garden is run by a volunteer committee and sponsored by House of Hope Lutheran Church. The spring and summer of 2016 will be the community garden’s first growing season. No funding from any other agencies or organizations has been used to help the garden get started. The community garden is located on the church grounds in the back of the building (East of the church building) at 4800 Boone Avenue North, New Hope, MN.
The garden includes 25 individual plots available to local gardeners and church members or groups who want to grow fresh produce for their families. The price for a plot is $20 for the growing season. No deposit is required at this time. Plot requests from residents are honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
The target date for opening is May 15, but due to weather & soil conditions this may vary from year to year. Households will be notified when the garden plots are officially open.
